The need to be serviced is universal, especially when you serve others.
The need to eat is universal, especially when you feed others.
The need to learn is universal, especially when you teach others.
As a freelancer, consultant, or contractor, you do all these things. But there’s a limit.
You can’t give what you haven’t got.
So look after yourself, so you can look after others.
